Biography

She was born in 1867. ^[1] She was born in Rockingham, Virginia and her father's name was George. ^[2]

She married John Osias Wakeman in 1898. He was a widower. ^[2]

In 1900 she was 33 and living with husband John in Virginia. With them were four children from his first marriage: Ira, Annie, Susie and Henry. Their first childr together, Galon, was 1 year old. ^[3]

In 1910 they were living in Virginia. At this time they have their three children: Galen, Ida and Mary. His son and daughter from first marriage are living with them. Her mother-in-law Francis Wakeman is living there too. ^[4]

In 1920 they were living in Virginia. Annie from his first marriage is living with them. Son Galen and daughter Ida are living with them. They have an adopted son named Ray Wakeman living with them. Her mother-in-law is still living with them. She is 88. ^[5]

She died in 1940. ^[1] She was buried in Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Edinburg, Shenandoah County, Virginia. ^[6]
