Hi

I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the Military and War Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Best wishes,

Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project

Hi

Thanks so much for being a member of the Mid-Atlantic Team for the April Connectathon. It was a fun and productive weekend. We added 3,716 profiles to Wikitree between the two teams and had 49 people participate. Considering many of us can’t stop at just one source, we may never make the top ten, but we did great!

Mindy usually sends out a wrap up message in which she mentions how to delete from your watchlist profiles you do not want to continue to manage. Can I make a request, wait until tomorrow before you do this, and then can you check your suggestion list and see if there are any typos that need to be corrected. We don’t want to add to the data doctors’ work.

And, thanks for recruiting some new members!!!!!

See you next thon Mickey

Hi! I do enjoy the Connect-a-thons! I debated about signing up for the April one because I enjoy them but I don't know if I can give my attention to it this time. I may have to wait until the next one. I'm still working on one of the Black Heritage connections. I'm also going to help with the 1950 census which comes out in April. Then I have a h.s. graduation party to start planning for my son.  :)
April sounds like a really hectic month for you! I wonder if those who planned the Connect-A-Thon for April thought about the release of the 1950 census this weekend? I know that primarily impacts the U.S. participants, but that's still a major impact. Congratulations to your son (and you) on his upcoming graduation! See you at the next Connect-A-Thon.

Hi Star, a couple of weeks ago I sent out a check-in for the US Civil War Project, this is just a quick reminder to let me know if you intend to remain in the Project. Hope to hear from you soon. I'll assume your not interested if I don't hear back from you by the end of February. Thank you.

Thank you for contributing to the January 2022 Sourcerers Challenge! As you know, every source added to an unsourced profile improves our One Tree. Thank you for taking time from your own family history to help others.

Hi Star

Thanks for being a member of the Mid-Atlantic Team for the January Connectathon. It was a fun and productive weekend. We added 2,936 profiles to Wikitree, almost a thousand more than last July’s Connectathon.

In Mindy’s wrap up message, she mentions how to delete from your watchlist profiles you do not want to continue to manage. Can I make a suggestion, before you do this, can you check your suggestion list and see if there are any typos that need to be corrected. We don’t want to add to the data doctors’ work.

Hi Star,

Did you get a new device to use for WikiTree? The Tracker in March counted some of your work under the Wiki ID Kline-962. That usually happens when a new device is used for the first time and the wrong Wiki ID is entered. To fix it, make a change, then use the tracker. Update the Wiki ID and save save your item. The cookie will be updated and your future changes will be tracked to you. I'll count the three that went to Kline-962 for you this month.

lease me know if you have any questions,

Debi

Hi, Star

The Ambassadors project has been reorganizing and is looking for those who have a membership at a genealogical society, to help in spreading the word about WikiTree.

We're working on ways to improve how WikiTree connects and interacts with genealogical and local history societies. This is the kind of thing we want to do:

  • Liaise with societies: set up your local society with a free-space page and some WikiTree materials as part of a package.
  • Use social media to promote what societies are offering on WikiTree.
  • Encourage bloggers to blog about societies and the resources available to them on WikiTree.

Are you interested in participating in some way? Do you have some ideas to share?

Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their followed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any discussions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you know that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

Hello, Star,

On behalf of the Military and War Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members.

First, we want to thank you for your past participation in the project. We appreciate your desire to honor your ancestors for their service to their countries, or even for your service, wherever in the world. We hope that your membership has enhanced your WikiTree experience.

Please let me know, by commenting on my profile or sending a private message, if you are still active in the project, and if so, in a general sense how you may have contributed to the main project or any sub-projects within the last couple months.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.
