Biography

Alida Kling was born on May 13, 1877 in Floby parish, Skaraborg, Sweden. She was the daughter soldier Svante Andersson Kling and his wife ^[1]Klara Jansdotter.^[2] She was the third of seven siblings.

She emigrated to America on May 26, 1896.^[3]

She married Joseph M Gauff.^[4]

Their daughter Ester Alida Gauff was born on July 3, 1901 i Chicago, Illinois and was baptized on January 10, 1909 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elgin, Illinois. Parents Joseph and Alida Gauff.^[5]
