She married William Hoppe on 2 Apr 1872 in Columbus, Platte, Nebraska, United States^[2]. They had two children in Nebraska Julius E. Hoppe and Elizabeth Hoppe before immigrating to Washington by way of San Francisco arriving in the Walla Walla area and then a short time later coming to Garfield County on Pataha Flat in 1876^[2]. William and Caroline had five more children Albert Hoppe, William L. Hoppe, Mildred L. Hoppe, Tillie Hoppe, and Carolyn Hoppe.
