Philip was the son of Johann Klugh and Maria Grose. Baptisms for the family were recorded at the Lutheran Church, Pegau, Saxony.
Sibling:
Carl and Philip are thought to have come from Prussia to America in 1751. Both settled in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Carpenter by trade
He first married Veronica (aka Frances) Kistler. They had 7 children.
He secondly married Cristiana Hinkle. They had 8 children.
Those 8 children were all baptised in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
