Lillias was born in 1921. She was the daughter of James Knaggs and Jessie Smith. She passed away in 2001.

Lillias E. Ryan of Lowell, formerly of Nashua; 80

LOWELL - Lillias E. (Knaggs) Ryan, 80, a former Nashua resident, died yesterday, Nov. 15, at a Lowell nursing home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John Ryan. She was born in Lowell on Nov. 2, 1921, a daughter of the late James and Jessie (Smith) Knaggs, and attended Lowell Schools. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1939.

Following her marriage, Mrs. Ryan raised her family in Lowell. She also lived in Marshfield before moving to Nashua in 1971, where she resided until 1992. She then lived in Royalston with her son, returning to Lowell in 1996.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert F. Ryan, John C. and Marcie Ryan, all of Lowell, James C. and Priscilla Ryan of Royalston. She also leaves two sisters-in-law, Mary Russo of Malden, and Anne Fioretti of North Andover; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Marguerite Seldon.
