Can’t find her marriage at all

Ann

posted by Ann Browning
The source for the marriage is a compilation of copied records data from Bures St. Mary in the 1954 Moriarty article at https://www.americanancestors.org/databases/new-england-historical-and-genealogical-register/image?volumeId=11621&pageName=256 . That page shows their marriage on 4 June 1615.

Problem child Sarah Scottow is now fixed and redirected as a child of Thomas Scotto-2
posted by Rodney Wood
Her firstborn -- Sarah Scottow(why the different last name?) was born when Elizabeth was 9? Seems unlikely.

I would agree with Ellen. "Elizabeth" (no Ann) "Knopp" married Thomas Philbrick. The NEHGS reference, AmericanAncestors.org (Vol 147, Page 327) lists only 5 children (no Mary or Judith) all with LNAB of Knopp and states that no connection has been found between the Knopp family and Nicholas Knapp but that her father William Knopp may have been a brother of Thomas Knopp.

I am changing the name "Elizabeth Ann" to "Elizabeth" because I've not seen a source supporting the "Ann" part.

Knapp-1610 appears to represent the same person (same parents, same husband), but should not be merged until the multiple profiles for the mother have been merged. Knopp should be the LNAB.

Knapp-206 and Knopp-25 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. See Stott, Clifford L., "English Origins of William and Judith (Tue) Knopp of Watertown, Massachusetts," New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 147, pp. 315, 327 (1993).

The Elizabeth Knapp/Knopp who married Thomas Philbrick has been determined to be the daughter of William Knopp and Elizabeth Reade. She is not a daughter of John Knapp and Martha Blois. See Stott, Clifford L., "English Origins of William and Judith (Tue) Knopp of Watertown, Massachusetts," New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 147, pp. 315, 327 (1993).

I am removing the incorrect parents Knapp-21 and Blois-1 from this profile and reproposing a merge to Knopp-25.

posted by Ellen Smith
I removed the merge proposal because of the technical issue that the two profiles were both a proposed merge and an unmerged match. I restored the unmerged match because I want these profiles to be discussed before making all the needed merges.
posted by Ellen Smith
I removed and then restored the unmerged match between Knapp-206 and Knopp-25 for two reasons:

(1) To cure a technical problem (the profiles were both an unmerged match and a rejected match).

(2) The two profiles have different parents and should not be merged unless and until the question of parentage is resolved.

Knapp-1610 and Knopp-25 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly the same person. There are some discrepancies related to things like different interpretations of dates on old records. Knopp is the spelling in The Great Migration Begins, so Knopp-25 should be the merge destination.
