Biography

Lois Knapp was born January 25, 1790 at Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts the daughter of Nathaniel Knapp and his wife Mary Ball Knapp.

On September 30, 1808 Lois married Alexander Walker the son of James Walker and Sarah Field Walker. The marriage took place at Brandon, Rutland, Vermont. Eight children were born to this couple.

Lois died in August of 1845 at Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois and on August 5th, 1845 was buried in the Old Nauvoo Burial Ground, Block 7, Lot 2, Grave 30. [1]

The death of Lois Knapp Walker was listed in the paper "Nauvoo Neighbor". It states that she died the week ending 11 August 1845 in Nauvoo, Illinois, age 55 yrs, 6 months, 11 days. Information from the Patriarchal Blessings was copied from Volume 5 page 110. It shows that Lois Walker was born 25 January 1790 in Bristol County, Massachusetts, the daughter of Nathaniel and Mary.
