Mary was born sometime before her baptism in Gwennap, Cornwall, on 4 December 1825. She is the daughter of Simeon Kneebone and Jane Dunn who at the time of the baptism were resident in Lanner, then part of Gwennap parish (see entry for Lanner at Genuki). Mary's father was a miner. [1]
She married Martin Goldsworthy in the registration district of Redruth in 1844.[2]
