Dear Sister Gertie Your most welcome Post card came safely to hand a couple of days ago & it is a very pretty card and I hope to hear from you as often as you Like, now Gertie you must do all you can for Mother at home you must not refuse to do anything for her & when I come home I hope to hear good news of you. This place is very pretty in some places & in others again it is very dirty and the smell is not too good
But for all that I am having a good time plenty of fun while it lasts but I am waiting patiently to get into the firing line as we know as soon as we get there the better chance one has of getting home to you all the quicker & do not care how soon we are posted off to the front, it may be some time yet This is all the news for the time being So with my best love to you all. .
