When Elizabeth Knight was born on April 28, 1815, in North Carolina, her father, Jonathan, was 45, and her mother, Ellender, was 33. She married James Madison Massingill on August 30, 1838, in Meigs, Tennessee. [1]She died in 1880 in Meigs, Tennessee, at the age of 65.
