Biography
Ann Bassett Knight and her sister Harriett Mercy Knight were baptised together in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire on 13 June 1794. They were the daughters of the Rev. Robert Knight and his wife Harriett Mercy. [1][2]
The following announcement of her marriage to John Blackmore appeared in the Bath Chronicle and Weekly Gazette dated 14 February 1822 [3]
At Newton Nottage, Glamorganshire Rev. John Blackmore, fellow of Exeter College, Oxon, to Anne Bassett Knight, second daughter of the late Rev. Robert Knight.
And another announcement appeared in The Star, London dated 18 February 1822 [4]
February 2nd, at Newton Nottage, Glamorganshire, the Rev. John Blackmore, Fellow of Exeter College, Oxford to Anne Bassett, second daughter of the late Rev. Robert Knight, formerley of Tewkesbury, and niece of Col. Knight of Tythegston.
deathdate above is actually burial date, as death certificates did not exist at this time
