James was born in 1888.

James Berkeley Knight married Beatrice Elighsheba Ellis in Dubbo, New South Wales during 1911.^[1]

James was appointed as a telegraph messenger in 1903.^[2]

In 1914 James was appoint to be senior postal assistant at Wickham.^[3]

His wife Beatrice died in Wickham in May 1924.^[4][5]

James passed away in Balmain, New South Wales on 27 July 1942.^[6]
