Biography

Christian Knight, daughter of Thomas Knight and his wife, Ann Devole, was born in 1814 and baptised at Winterborne Whitchurch on the 22nd of June. ^[1]

In 1839 she bore an illegitimate child, Sophia, ^[2] and at the 1841 census was living with her daughter in her parents home. ^[3]

Christian married George Wareham by banns ^[4] at Whitchurch on the 21st of May 1844 ^[5] and bore him two children. The second, John, was baptised after his father's death in 1847. ^[6] Christian remained a widow for many years ^{[7] [8]}then on the 14th of September 1861 at Horton, she married Stephen Whitlock, son of Stephen Whitlock and his wife, Rebecca Weeks. ^[9]

Christian died in 1878. ^[10]
