Jonathan Knight was born October 2, 1672 in Concord, Middlesex County. Massachusetts. He was the son of Jonathan Knight and Ruth Wright Knight.[1]
Jonathan purchased a tract of land in 1701 covering much of which is now the town of Acton[2]
He was married in Concord on November 7, 1705 to Sarah Buttrick, Justice Minott officiating. Sarah was the daughter of Samuel Buttrick and Elizabeth Blood Buttrick,[3] [1]
Jonathan died in Concord March 11, 1710/11 at the age of 39. He was buried in the Old Hill Burying Ground, in Concord.[4][1][5][6]
From his headstone, "Here lyes ye body of Jonathan Knight who decesed March the 11th 1711/12 in ye 40th year of his age"[7][8]
