There are variations of Rebekah's first name and one of her married names. Rebekah is also seen as Rebecca and as it is seen most often in the second spelling, it is listed as such above. Her second husband, Abiel Somerby, is seen with his last name spelled Summersbie.

Research notes

The date of death, 8 January 1688, corresponds to Rebecca Knight, wife of John Tompkins; not the wife of Abiel Somerby. It is entirely possible that Rebecca (Knight) Somerby lived longer and had a second marriage in 1691, as there is evidence that Nicholas Wallis married a Rebecca Somersby.
