Biography

William Knopp Jr immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

William Knopp of Watertown, Massachusetts, was born on 3 Feb 1610. He was the son of William "The Immigrant" and Judith (Tue) Knopp, also of Watertown. William Knopp married first, Mary, about 1640. William married his second wife, Margaret Deane, about 1652. No father listed.^[1]. This marriage is not listed on most biographical sources.

William Knopp was christened before 3 FEB 1611, in Wormingford, Essex, England. Married Mary Unknown abt 1641/1642, Watertown, MA. His father: William Knopp.^[2]

William Knopp married Priscilla Akers 1651, USA. His father: Thomas Knopp. This is apparently a cousin, different William Knopp and different father.^[3]. NOTE: This reference is incorrect. The William whose profile this represents is William Knopp Jr, the son of William the immigrant. Thomas is the father of William the immigrant, not William Jr.
