Peter married Lesley Macdonald in 1971 (no issue). They divorced in 1984 and Peter remarried to Dianne Watson. He adopted Dianne's daughter, Michelle and now has two grandchildren, Ethan and Tegan (Walsh).
In adult life Peter lived at Burwood, Malmsbury, Hawthorn, Croydon South, Surrey Hills, Chirnside Park and Caulfield North (current), (all in Victoria, Australia).
Peter's Involvement with the Scouting Movement, from 1948 to 1973, included many years of enjoyment as a child and youth, followed by leadership roles in both Scouts and Senior Scouts (Venturers) at Canterbury and Glen Iris.
Since retiring from full-time employment in June, 2003, Peter has undertaken voluntary work with Vision Australia (from 2005 to 2012), assisting in Activities Groups for members suffering blindness or low vision. He also assists with adaptation to recent advances in "Daisy" technology, giving improved access to "talking books" (pictured, top right).

Thank you for your reply. I've updated Blake/Geard connection and added some sources - I'm quite comfortable that Job Geard married Maria Blake in Bothwell in 1859, and she died in 1865. Can you assist me with Maria's birth about 1837 as I haven't located her birth in the Tasmanian Names Index? There are several 'Robert Blakes' so I'd like to be sure she is attached to the correct one! I see in Maria and Job Geard's marriage that Harriet North witnessed their marriage. As William North witnessed Harriet's marriage I suspect that this is the William North who went to the Victorian goldfields with Bowden and Knowles as per your story. Evidence enough - but I thought you may direct me to hard evidence. Warm regards, Josephine

I adopted the orphan Job Geard; and you may like to take a look to see if it equates to your knowledge of Job's family. Warm regards, Josephine
