Thank you for your reply. I've updated Blake/Geard connection and added some sources - I'm quite comfortable that Job Geard married Maria Blake in Bothwell in 1859, and she died in 1865. Can you assist me with Maria's birth about 1837 as I haven't located her birth in the Tasmanian Names Index? There are several 'Robert Blakes' so I'd like to be sure she is attached to the correct one! I see in Maria and Job Geard's marriage that Harriet North witnessed their marriage. As William North witnessed Harriet's marriage I suspect that this is the William North who went to the Victorian goldfields with Bowden and Knowles as per your story. Evidence enough - but I thought you may direct me to hard evidence. Warm regards, Josephine
I adopted the orphan Job Geard; and you may like to take a look to see if it equates to your knowledge of Job's family. Warm regards, Josephine
