Theodore Knowles is part of a Bahamian family.

Theodore Knowles was born about 1841 in the Bahama Islands to John Knowles and Catherine Rattray. He was mentioned in the will of his father:

"... I nominate and appoint my wife Catherine Gray Knowles, my son Theodore Knowles, and my son-in-law James Henry Young, Executrix and Executors of this My will..."

Mr. Knowles married - about 1865 - Georgianna Frances Gould, daughter of Captain James Gould and Elizabeth Catherine Lewis Gould. The couple had a daughter Liliane Catherine Knowles in 1867 in Nassau, Bahamas.

Theodore Knowles, merchant, died in Nassau, Bahamas in 1905 at 64 years of age.
