Biography

Edward Knowles was born in 1671 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay. He was the son of John Knowles and Apphia (Bangs) Knowles.

He married Ann (Ridley) Knowles on February 27, 1699/1700 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay.^[1]

Together, they were the parents of Elizabeth Knowles, Thomas Knowles, Mercy Knowles, and Ann Knowles. She passed away before 1711. After she passed away, he married Sarah (Elkins) Knowles in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay. Together, they were the parents of Edward Knowles and John Knowles. He passed away in 1740 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay.
