Biography

William Knowlton was born on April 29, 1741 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay. His parents were Ezekiel Knowlton and Susannah Morgan. [1]

He married Hannah Hastings on October 26, 1764. [1]

Together they had these children the first 5 of which were born in Templeton, [2] and the rest in Shrewsbury [1]:

  1. Asa Knowlton, b. 1765.
  2. William Knowlton, bap. 1771.
  3. Artemas Knowlton, bap. 1772.
  4. Hannah Knowlton, bap. 1767.
  5. Susanna Knowlton, bap. 1775.
  6. William Knowlton, b. 1777.
  7. Seth Knowlton, b. 1781.
  8. Joseph Knowlton, b. 1785.

He died on September 13, 1820 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. [1]
