Biography

Hugh Knox was born in Ireland in 1791.

Hugh was a farmer and his family lived in North Mahoning Township, Indiana County, PA. [1]

In the August 1860 Census of North Mahoning Township, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Hugh and Elizabeth are farming. There are 3 dwellings housing his family, and the families of two of his married sons, David and John. All of the children were born in Pennsylvania.[2]
