Biography

Mary Zahida (Knox) Nason was born on 17 Oct 1873 in Upper Hainesville, York, New Brunswick, Canada. Her parents were Charles Hantford Knox (1846 - 1919) and Meradia Merada (Palmer) Knox (1850 - 1930).

In 1881 (aged ~7), Mary was living in York with her parents, Charles (34) and Merada (31); and her siblings, Amelia (13), George (10), Laura (6), Eliza (5), and Marth (5), and Charles (6m); .[1]

In 1891 (aged ~17), Mary's occupation was 'Seamstress'. She was living in Queensbury with her parents, Charles (44) and Meradia (41); andher siblings, Charles (10), Amelia (22), Laura (16), Elizpe (15), Martha (15), and Sarah (8).[2]

Mary married Allen Minard Nason (1870 - 1964) on 1 Aug 1894 in York.
