Biography

Harry Knuckey was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Harry was born in 1879, the son of Richard Randall Knuckey and unknown unknown. [1]

In 1918, Harry Randall Eucla Knuckey married Maria Frances Scarf.[2]

Wedding Article: MR. H. R. E. KNUCKLEY TO MISS M. F. SCARF. Tne wedding of Mr. Harry Randal Eucla Knuckey second son of the late Richard R. Knuckey, of Adelaide, and Miss Maria Frances Scarf, eldest daughter of Mr. Robert William Scarf, of "Le Rose," Carngham, was celebrated, 6th April, in the Manse at Berwick, by the Rev. J. Murray. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. Charles Scarf, wore an elegant cream gabardine costume, with a becoming white panne velvet hat. Her white and pink posy was tied with tulle streamers. The bridesmaid was the bride's only sister, who was charmingly garbed in a cream serge costume, and white satin hat ; her flowers were deep red roses, and autumn leaves. The bride groom's gift to the bride was a gold wristlet watch and to tne bridesmaid a necklet of aquamarines and pearls. Sergeant A. Scarf was best man and Mr. Robert Scarf groomsman. Both are brothers of bride. After the ceremony the guests, who included friends and relatives, were entertained at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. P. Collins, at Carlton. The wedding party taxied from Melbourne to Berwick. The honeymoon was spent at Lorne. The bride travelled in a well-cut navy costume and a smart velour hat, relieved with pink. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. E. Knuckey will make their home at Broken Hill, N.S.W. The charming flowers carried by the bridal party were from the Ronald's floral studio. [3]

He passed away in 1954, aged 74. [4]

Death Notice: KNUCKEY.— On December 24, at a private hospital, Harry Eucla Knuckey, of 31a Anzac Highway Keswick, loved husband of the late Maria Frances, and loving mother of Bob, Cynthia (Mrs. Fogarty), Eck and Mary (Mrs. Kilgariff). Aged 74 years. R.I.P. [5]
