Ananias Martinus Knudsen Kvistad was born on 7 Jul 1849 in Hjørundfjord, the son of Knud Ellingsen and Oline Ananiasdatter.[1]

In the 1865 census, Annanias Martinus Knudsen (age 17) was the son of Knud Ellingsen at Kvistad in Hjørundfjord.[2]

In the 1875 census, Annanias lived at Kvistad in Hjørundfjord.[3]

Ananias married Anne Petrine Olsdatter Aarset on 9 Jun 1878 in Hjørundfjord.[4] Their children were:

In the 1900 census, Annanias was a farmer at Aarseth in Hjørundfjord.[6] He lived with his wife and eight children.

In the 1910 census, Ananias lived at Aarseth in Hjørundfjord.[7]

In the 1920 census, Ananias lived at Aarset in Hjørundfjord.[8]

He died on 10 Mar 1935 in Hjørundfjord aged 85.[9]
