Fantastic! Thanks Michael! I have added some of the information and sources to his profile, after researching him further, and following the link you provided :-)
My gg grandfather was Carl Heinrich Koch 1806-1853 or 1864?. He was apparently related to Robert Koch but we don't have any documentation-family tree. There's family anecdote to suggest he was my great grandmother's uncle. Carl Heinrich Koch was killed by the Germans when they expanded into Prussia. My great grandmother Maria Koch, (1841-1889) and her sister Amalia Koch (1846-1908) emigrated to Australia circa 1860, then on to New Zealand where they married. Their mother and Heinrich's wife Carlina C Koch (born Von Schulze) also appears to have gone to Australia as records suggest she died in Australia in 1888. The family came from Saltzgitter, Hanover. Any information on the Robert Koch family and possible link to our family would be gratefully received. Thank You.

Robert's profile is on the Germany Project's long list of profiles that need to be connected to the main tree. We will try and get to this one soon!
