Research Notes

Note from Lawrence-8233: All the early documentation of this man's life states his middle name was Sissel. Even his page at Amazon, listing the many books he wrote, uses this form. [1]
However, his death certificate states it was Siskind, perhaps not coincidentally the name of an ancestor. And his wife, in an article on their shared quest to find the descendants of the Tzaddik of Lazday, calls him Alexander Siskind Kohanski. [2]
The collection of his academic papers merely mentions his middle initial as S. [3]
