Andreas (Andrew???) was born in 1717. Andreas Kohler ... He passed away in 1787.[1]
"The Kohler branch begins with the immigration of Andreas Kohler at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1740. It is believed that Andreas KOHLER was born in Germany based on the immigration record. Shortly after arriving, Andreas KOHLER migrated to York County, Pennsylvania to establish the Manchester Township KOHLER line. We have a problem in York Conty identifying between the Manchester and Shrewsbury Township line. Some early researachers did make this error and their work continues to cause confusion with inexperienced researchers. The Daughters of the America Revlution carried this forward for many years but have since recognized the error and credit our ancestor, Balthasar 'Baltzer' KOHLER, with the military service due him."[2]
Andreas Kohler and wife Magdalena are shown as the parents of Baltzer Kohler in his baptismal record from June 1749. Baltzer and Magdalena Spengler (Maternal Grandparents?) are shown as sponsors[3]. Jacob Lischy was the pastor. Jacob Lischy became pastor of First Reformed Church of York, Pennsylvania on 14 May 1745[4]. Baltzer Spangler was one of the founders of this church.
