Jan Kool was born in ~1806 in Charlois, Zuid-Holland, Nederland. His parents were Bastiaan Bastiaansz Kool (1781 - 1853) and Pietertje Jansdr (van Gelderen) Kool (~1784 - 1866).
Jan married Maria Groenendijk (~1801 - 1877) on October 26, 1833 in Charlois. [1]
