Research Notes

No further information is recorded in the Ohio Roster beyond signing up for a three year term in 1861. His name is spelled Coonce in the Ohio Roster.

It is likely he passed away during the war, but I can find no record of it.

Koontz-1334 and Koontz-285 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly the same person. I did not see it when I created the new one, as his name was spelled differently in the Ohio Roster.
