OBITUARY MR. JOHN KRATZ
The death occurred during Friday night last of Mr. John Kratz, of Linwood. The deceased gentleman, who was found dead in his bed on Saturday morning by his brothers, William and Conrad, with whom he resided, was born at Grafton 71 years ago, and had lived in the Glen Innes district for about 50 years.
In addition to the two brothers at Linwood there is another brother, George, at Grafton.
It is interesting to note that the late Mr. Kratz's mother, who died some five years ago, lived to the age of 103 years and his father to 93 years.
The funeral, which took place to the Presbyterian portion of the local cemetery on Sunday morning, last was conducted by Messrs. H. A. Tutt and Sons. Rev. A. P. Cameron officiated at the graveside.
