Wendlin Kraus, ice-merchant, Etna, was born Sept. 22, 1835, a son of Faltin and Eva (Breining) Kraus.Mr. Kraus was married here to Lizzie, daughter of Anton Vellsbach, and they have had seven children: Leopold, August, Katie (deceased), Wilhelm, Lena, John and George.
