Biography

When Harold Aloysius Kraus was born on August 30, 1930, in Clear Creek, Missouri, his father, Daniel, was 36 and his mother, Frances, was 30. He married Joan Frances Schuster on February 3, 1951, in Boonville, Missouri. They had four children and six grandchildren. He died on August 11, 2013, in Boonville, Missouri, at the age of 82, and was buried there.

Obituary

Mr. Harold A. Kraus, 82, of Boonville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Ashley Manor Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Boonville, Missouri with Father Bob Duesdieker officiating. Burial will be in the S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Boonville. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday, August 12, 2013 with a prayer service at 8:00 pm. at the Church.

Harold was born on Saturday, August 30, 1930 in Clear Creek, Missouri to Daniel & Frances Felton Kraus. He was united in marriage on Saturday, February 3, 1951 to Joan "Jo Ann" Schuster at the S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Boonville and to this union 4 children were born. Harold was a retired salesman for a Ford Dealership in Boonville for over 40 years. Harold was a member of the Knights of Columbus and loved camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother, Delphinus Kraus.

He is survived by his children, Michael Patrick Kraus, of Columbia, Missouri, Steven Alan Kraus and his wife, Darlene of Boonville, Missouri, Joyce Kathleen Golden and her husband , Jerry of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Christopher Brian Kraus, of Edina, Minnesota, his brother, Leo Kraus and his wife, Rosemary, his 3 sisters, Ethel Schoen and her husband, Amandus, Elizabeth Norman and Rita Stone, his sisters-in-law, Geraldine Eichelberger and Thelma Kraus, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
