Biography
Johann was born in 1838.[1]
He married Henrietta Caroline Kranz on on 22 October 1860 at the Congregational Chapel in Kapunda, South Australia. He was 24, son of Johann Carl Krieg; she was 19, daughter of Frederick WIlliam Kranz.[2]
They had seven children:[3]

He passed away in 1918.
KRIEG—On the 16th September, at Nuriootpa, Carl Krieg, beloved husband of Caroline Krieg, aged 81 years and six months. A colonist of 64 years.
