Biography
Records of the Moravians in North Carolina 4:1867. Bethania May 18, 1783. This morning the elder Krieger came to me with Peter Ludwig and asked that I publish the Banns for Johann George, son of the former, and Catharine, daughter of the latter. [This entry is indexed as Nicholas Krieger.]
His will is dated 24 Jan 1831, codcil written 5 Feb 1839, another codicil 23 Feb 1841; probated September term 1841.
It names children Peter, Jacob, George, Mary, Elizabeth, Caty, Margrit, Charity and Susannah; wife Sarah; granddaughter Dorothy Krieger. A codicil written in 1841 says "granddaughter Dorothy Bowden shall have no part of my estate".
