Funeral services were held for Mr. Ivan Kroese, 56, of Hull, Monday, May 1, at 1 o'clock at the home and 1:30 p.m. from the First Christian Reformed church.
Surviving are his wife, Alberta, four sons and two daughteres, Gerald and Albert from Orange City, ,Johanna (Mrs. Kenneth Ludema) from Ann Arbor, Mich., Hilmer of Hull, Irvin of Muskegon, Mich., and Arbelle at home; seven grandchildren, six sisters and three brothers.

IVAN KROESE
Funeral services for Mr. Ivan Kroese of Hull were held Monday, May 1, at the home and at the First Christian Reformed Church. Rev. John De Jong of the Hope Christian Reformed Church officiated.
Mr. Kroese died very unexpectedly Thursday evening, April 27, in his home. He was stricken with a heart attack while resting.
Mr. Ivan Kroese, son of Charlie Kroese and Hilda Brouwer, was born on June 17, 1904, at Hornick, Iowa.
When a young child he moved to the vicinity of Hull where he resided most of his life.
On January 13, 1926, he was married to Alberta Brummel, to which union six children were born: Gerald and Albert of Orange City,Iowa; (Johanna) Mr. Kenneth Ludema of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Hilmore of Hull; Irvin of Muskegon, Michigan, and Arbell of Hull.
Also surviving, besides the children, are his widow; seven grandchildren; three brothers, John, Peter and Charles of Hull; and six sisters, (Jessie) Mrs. Peter Stienstra of Redlands, California; (Gertrude) Mrs. John Van Otterloo of Lakewood, California; Nell of Hull; Mrs. Evelyn Marra of Hull and (Ann) Mrs. Louis Wielenga of Boyden. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe and William.
In 1943, the deceased and his family moved from a farm south of Hull to Middleburg vicinity where he resided until 1956 when he moved to Hull.
Mr. Kroese served as an elder in his Church for several years, was a member of the board of trustees of Bethesda Hospital, Denver, Colorado, and served on the directing boards of local business establishments and Christian educational institutions.
