Hi Gert, I proposed the merger of Riekert into Ricker, as Ricker was the more correct spelling according to the records. Hope this helps

Hey Gert,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

Hi Gert, welcome to WikiTree. You wrote: Kruger-251 and Kruger-1228 are not ready to be merged because: I had the surname as Kruger (not Krüger) and the system did not pick the match up. If you look closely you'll see that the LNAB is still Kruger and not Krüger (it is rumored that even Paul Kruger spelled his name with an umlaut on the u). In this case there is no reason to match the merge for that reason only as we have as yet not profile protected the LNAB (Last Name At Baptism). Besides, the system as you called it did not pick it up because as far as I can see you did not do a GEDCOM.

Also, we have to add unmerged matches between Pieter (Kruger) Krüger and Pieter Kruger and Pieter Kruger because as yet there is still not enough evidence of a reliable spousal connection (it will need more research). Sorry about the lack of dates and other data - we created and / or adopted those profiles before WIkiTree made it a requirement to enter at least a date of birth or death.

If you need any help there is a whole team at your disposal (see the message of Michael Harris below).

Thanks, Philip
