Since the deceased children have been listed, it can be assumed that ALL the children are listed above, with the possible exception of some who may have died as infants. The fact that nos. 1 to 5 are all deceased gives the possibility that the listing may not be in order of birth.

In the DN of Casper Jan Hendrik Kruger [Kruger-1685] only seven children are listed, in the order: 1 dec.; 3 dec.; 6 ; 4 dec.; 7; 9; 10. This DN was signed by a son of the deceased, W J Kruger. An official has added: "Also K339 and K609" At present (14:32 on 10.7.2020) twenty children are listed.

Research notes

The two Casper Jan Hendrik Krugers who are linked to Levina as spouse are not the same person. The Casper who is b7c1d1e3, [Kruger-1685] is the one who married Levina Kruger. See his DN. But he is not the same person as b7c2d4e2f4 Casper, b. 1.8.1827, [Kruger-2555] who DID NOT marry Levina Kruger. I have been unable to find his DN.

What complicates the situation is that all of Levina's children have been duplicated. There are two Susanna Meyers; two Anna van Tonders etc.

Barry Kruger notes that Levina was in the Concentration Camp at Brandfort during the Boer War, and died there during an epidemic in October 1901 (with 326 others who died).

The Levina Catharina Hendrina Kruger that was married to Duvenhage was married to Izaak Stephanus Johannes Buys and not Casper Kruger. She was born Kruger then married Buys and then Duvenhage. Kruger-3670. Also her death notice stated her parents as Johannes Kruger and Anna Catharina Maria Aucamp ^[2]
