Peter M. Kruse died at his home seven miles northwest of Fostoria early Tuesday morning, February 15, at the age of 71 years and 8 months. He had been ill but a few hours with heart trouble.

Mr. Kruse is survived by his wife and the following children: Peter and George of Minnesota; Minard of Lake Park; John of Cherokee; Everett, Herman and Ida at home; Mrs. T. Jenson of Reading, Minnesota and Mrs. Jurgen Hollender, Mrs. Kalke Berns and Mrs. George Berns living near Fostoria.

Funeral services will be held at the home at one o'clock Friday afternoon, and at the Evangelical church west of Fostoria at two o'clock, Rev. C.S. Lang officiating. Interment will be made in the Reform cemetery.

Peter M. Kruse Passed Away In Westport Township

Peter M. Kruse passed away at his home in Westport Township, Dickinson County, Tuesday, February 14, 1927, at the age of 71 years and 8 months. Death was due to heart trouble and was very sudden.

Peter Kruse was born in Bundar, Hamreg, June 15, 1855. He came to America with his parents in 1881 and settled in Grundy county where he lived about three years and then with his parents moved to Wright County where they lived for one year. He then came to Dickinson County where he has lived ever since except for three years spent in O'Brien County. Through he had not joined, the Evangelical Church was the church of his choice. He was married to Miss Ida Johnson, September 4, 1889 in Wright County, Iowa. Thirteen children were born to this union, six sons and seven daughters. Two of the daughters preceded their father in death, one in infancy and the other Edna, age about nine years.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, February 18, 1927, at one o'clock at the house and at two at the Evangelical Church near Fostoria, with Rev. C.S. Lang in charge. Interment was made in the First Reform Cemetery.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Ida Kruse, the deceased is survived by the following children children; Peter and George of Minnesota, Minord of Lake Park, John of Cherokee, Mrs. T. Jensen of Reading, Minnesota, Mrs. Jurgen Hollander, Mrs. Gelke Behrens and Mrs. George Behrens of near the family home and Everett, Herman and Ida at home.
