Gustav Adolph Albert Kuhlmey was born on 28 Jan 1856 in Stettin, Prussia, son of Wilhelm Carl Eduard Kuhlmey (1825 - 1909) and Sophie Marie Dorothee (Schmidt) Kuhlmey (1825 - 1879). ^[1]He was a military musician.
