Hi,

It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Since you’re not working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams yet, please look at our main Project page for a full list and let me know which team you’d like to join.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. In your response, we welcome any feedback you may want to give on the project (what you like about it, what you’d like to see us do, what we could change, etc.)

If you ever have any questions, please ask. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hello again! I posted a comment two weeks ago and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well! Do you want to remain in the Germany Project? If I don’t hear back from you by the end of November, I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, always welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes, Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Sorry about that, yes, I do want to remain in the Germany Project. OI just haven't found anything to add in quite some time. Nor pertaining to my ancestors yet.
Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi again,

I sent you a message a couple of weeks ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well!

If I don’t hear back from you by the end of April, I will assume you no longer wish to be a member of the Germany Project and I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes,

My apologies for not answering. I have gotten as far as I can on my German families for now. Planning on a trip in 2022 to do some physical research to go further. I do know that my Kuhn surname are from Sulzbach a Main, Bavaria. Some of the female lines are from Oberbessenbach, Aschaufensburg, and Schweinbach and Laub. The rest I do not know at this time. I would like to continue to be a member. Thanks
Thanks for responding Katrina. The only participation requirement for the Germany Project is answering at check-in time - which you just did. We're glad you're staying with us!

I sent you a message a while ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have yet to hear back from you. I hope you are well.

Just seeing this. I haven't had anything to add to what I already have for the project. I have no other information to share at this time. Been hard finding anything else. I have researched on the history of the time period of my ancestors to get a picture of what their lives would have looked like and why my 2x's great grandfather would have come to America in 1862. Everything I have found has been added to his profile Kuhn-2008.

I am still interested in being a member, but it is difficult researching and expanding information when they aren't testing their DNA.

Hi,

On behalf of the Germany Project, I am currently undergoing our member check-in's and wanted to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the full list. I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google groups for project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup, please submit a join request and we will get that approved as quickly as possible. We also ask that you check your follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions please ask. I would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project!

Please respond by private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Katrina,

Would you please go to this page http://www.softdata.si/wt/Err_20190804/FL/601_1800-1899_0.htm and correct all of your profiles that are listed? The word unknown should be removed from all of the locations and the uncertain radio button marked. There is only one profile that is not yours and it is being handled. Thank you, Data Doctor-Paula

You may have to copy and past the url or you should be able to go to my wikitree at the top of your page and in the drop down box choose suggestions, it will give you a list of your profiles that need corrections.

"Cannot find Unknown-16 to attempt to make a correction." Look for the misspelling.
posted by Jo Gill
Correct LNAB isn't the problem - the spelling of Unknown is the problem - it has 2 ks.
posted by Jo Gill
Katrina, please correct the spelling of 'Unknown' for LNAB for Unknkown-16.

Thank you for reach out.

Both my Sackmann & Kuhn Grandparents are known to have been born in Strelna, St.Petersburg, Russia 1902 & 1903 respectively. We've held the belief for some time, that our ancestors were among the initial settlers that helped established that German-Russian colony there in 1810. There is very little more known about our Kuhn ancestors beyond this; certainly not of any that came to America. Although we do still have a Kuhn relative (Dad's cousin) living in Germany.

Hi Katrina,

Welcome to the One Name Studies Project! Please add one_name_studies to your list of followed tags so that you can follow any project discussion in G2G.

I have set up your project categories, tags and redirects. We have a FAQ page that may answer any questions you might have.

For instructions on how to get started and suggestions for getting the most out of your study, see our: One Name Study project page. Let me know if you have any questions! ;-)

Hello!

I noticed you are working on some of our earlier profiles. I just wanted to let you know that today we're starting to introduce restrictions on who can add and edit profiles of people born before 1500. To edit early profiles, you will need the "Pre-1500 Certified" badge.

To request it, you can go to http://www.wikitree.com/contact/cert/.

If you have questions or comments please post here: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/211127/would-you-like-to-help-edit-profiles-people-born-before-1500

Thanks!
