John Willfred (or Milford) Kurtz was born^[1] on Dec. 22, 1900 to Adam Kurtz and Helen Flaugher.

John worked as a dry goods salesman. He never married.

John died^[2] on Jun. 28, 1952 at the age of 51 in Pinebluff, North Carolina of heat exhaustion.
