Marie Magdalena was baptized 1 Nov 1736 as a Catholic in Hirschfeld, Rheinland, Prussia.[1] She was a daughter of Ludvich KURTZ/CURT and Agnes (Agneti) STIFFENS.
She married William Butz on Hirschfeld, Germany on November 8, 1761.
Between the births of their second and third children, her husband was recruited by Peter Hasenclever for his iron forges in New Jersey. By June 1767, the family moved to Ringwood, NJ, where two more sons were born.
