Margaret Kuster was born 1690, in Kaldenkirchen, Dist. Viersen, Westphalia (Germany). Margaret died between 1714 and 1760. [1] [2] [3] [4]

"It seems probable that Margaret Koster who married Cornelius De Weese is the daughter of Paulus and Gertrude Kusters, but there is no known proof of this. The strongest evidence for Margaret as a daughter of Paulus is the fact that Cornelius DeWeese signed Paulus' will by his mark. Margaret is believed to have been born about 1690 and to have married Cornelius DeWeese about 1708. Their first child was baptized by Paulus Van Vlecq." [5]

"...Cornelius and Margaret had six children:

1. John/Johannes De Weese baptized 29 May 1710 by Dominie Van Vlecq at Skippack; lived in Heidelberg Township, Berks County, PA.

2. Catrina De Weese baptized 4 September 1711 by Dominie Van Vlecq.

3. Garret De Weese born about 1713; married Mary (surname unknown); married Elizabeth Jones 26 December 1752, lived in Robeson Township, Berks County, PA.

4. William De Weese married Rachel Huste 3 November 1743.

5. Cornelius De Weese, Jr. married Margaret Richards.

6. Samuel De Weese married Elizabeth (surname unknown); died 1777." [6]

Notes on Dewees Family

Cornelius Deweese was presumably the son of Garret Hendricks de Wees who settled in Germantown, Province of Pennsylvania in 1689 with his 3 sons and one daughter, Wilhelmina who married Nicholas Rittenhouse. His second son, Cornelius, born in Holland, settled in Skippack Township in the Perkiomen region, on a farm which he and his brother William bought in partnership in 1708. He married Margaret Koster or Kuster and had several children. Cornelius Dewees chose the occupation as farmer and took up residence in what is now Montgomery County. His descendants are scattered throughout PA, OH and other states having amassed fortunes by tilling the soil. In 1708 Cornelius moved to the Van Bebber tract, which comprised what is now Perkiomen Township. Both Cornelius and his brother William sent their children to the school taught by Francis Daniel Pastorius at Germantown. In Rupps collection of 30,000 names of emigrants to Pennsylvania: First Settlers at Gemantown 1683-1710.

Margaret (Kuster) DEWEES (daughter of Paulus KUSTER and Gertrude DOORS -) was born 1690 in Kaldenkirchen, Dist Viersen, Westphalia (GERMAY), and died about 1753 in Philadelphia, Province of Pennsylvania. She married (1) Cornelius DEWEES in 1704 in Shepock Bucks County, Province of Pennsylvania, the son of Gerrett Henrickes DEWEES and Zytian (nee BOEKANOUGEN ) DEWEES.

She's NOT the daughter of Paul & Gertrud Custer. Immigration records at Ancestry show they came over to USA in 1691-1693 with their sons Arnold, John, Matthys, Reiner & Herman & daughter Elizabeth. Also Paul/Paulus Custer who died in 1707/1708-in his will he leaves his estate to his wife Gertrud & his sons Arnold, Herman & John. Paul & Gertrud's kids were born in the 1660's & 1670's. This Margaret was born in 1690-too late to be their daughter. Also if you look at some online records Margaret's last name is Koster.

If Margaret is not the child could she be a grandchild of them? I agree that she was born too much later to be their child, mother be too old. Just my opinion for what it is worth. Thank you.

Koster-228 and Kuster-38 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these are the same persons.
Kuesters-24 and Kuster-38 appear to represent the same person because: Same name and parents. Even though Kuesters-24 has no further information, it seems like a duplicate.
