Biography

Samuel was born in 1764. He passed away in 1865.

Caution: The Samuel Kyle born in South Carolina and married to Lucretia Frost is not the son of John Kyle and Hannah (Wilson) Kyle of Pennsylvania. Their son Samuel Kyle married a woman named Rebecca and was living in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, until at least February 1799, when he and Rebecca sold Samuel's interest in his father's estate. See Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Deed Book 9:186; Peter Flannery.[1]

Married about 1797.[2]

The obituary of daughter, Elizabeth L. (Kyle) Lynn, states she was born 27 January 1799 in South Carolina, migrated to Madison County, Georgia, and then in 1812 to Madison County, Alabama, where she married William Lynn.[3]

In 1850, Saml Kyle, age 90 born S.C. [circa 1760], and Lucrissa Kyle, age 80, born SC, are enumerated in William Lynn’s household.[5]

In 1860, Samuel Kyle, age 96 [born circa 1764], and Lucinda Kyle, age 86, both born South Carolina, were enumerated in the household of G. T. Kyle.[6]

The Samuel Kyle born in South Carolina and married to Lucretia Frost is not the son of John and Hannah Kyle. John and Hannah Kyle's son Samuel (who likely was born about 1764) married a woman named Rebecca and was living in Elizabeth, Allegheny Co., PA until at least 1799, when he and Rebecca sold Samuel's interest in his father's estate. See Allegheny County, Pennsylvania DB 9:186.

Kyle-379 and Kyle-251 appear to represent the same person because: Same date and place of birth. Same spouse. Looks like she was a duplicate and merge was completed and she ended up with two spouses.
