Helen Köhler was born about 1839 in Alsace-Lorraine, which was then a German-speaking part of France. Her parents migrated to the United States before 1850. They settled at Cleveland, Ohio, where they adopted the Keeler spelling.
The Keeler family was listed in the 1850 census at Cleveland. Helen was among them, shown as age 11. What happened to here after that?
