Biography
Poet and playwright, as well as a celebrated beauty, Aurora von Königsmarck was the sister of the ill-fated Philip Christoph von Königsmarck (lover of Princess Sophia Dorothea of Celle). Her quest to find out what became of him after his sudden disappearance led her to the court of King Augustus the Strong. She became the king's mistress and had by him a son.
