Leaving a research question here again - Hubert and LaCroix names are linked together frequently. Do they have anything to do with ancestors, or are they significant in some other way?
In searching for more wall-breaking sources, I found a Francoise LaCroix who immigrated as a Fille du Roi and married Rene Hubert - leaving this here while I research whether there is a link (daughter? granddaughter?).

Marie Francoise, surnamed La Croix (dec. Daniel and Catherine Henri), native of this parish, m. Jean Louis Zeringue, June 28, 1763 (SLC, B5, 170) - that part confuses me. Is she adopted?
There is also an entry on the above page for Isabelle Hubert. Will look at that another day.
