Spencer was born in Indiana on September 8, 1859. He passed away in Arkansas on June 13 1947. He married Sarah Frances Brantley in Van Zandt, Texas on August 11 1897. Their children are Dewey Otis, Willis Everett, Idabel Elizabeth, Leona Ines, Lowlage Inez, and Gregory Marie.
