Biography
Dr. LaMoore was a large-animal veterinarian, local politician and farm-equipment broker who arrived in Dakota Territory in 1882.
Louis L. Moore (not Louis C.) is listed as a veterinary surgeon at Jamestown, ND, in the 1900 census. He was listed as born in Michigan in Febuary 1868. Both his parents were born in English Canada. Wife was Emily L., b. Aug. 1870, in Minnesota. Her father b. PA., he mother in VA. The couple had been married 7 years, and had three children: Edna, July 1893; Charles P., March 1897, and Yale F., July 1899 -- all b. in ND.
